Final Fantasy XI, Guitar Hero, Pokemon, using my cats as pillows.
Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hamlet, Braveheart, epic films about war and national interests in general, I suppose. Anything with an intelligent plot is good. Oh, and Disney traditional animated films... Charlie Chaplin movies are fun too.
Too many to list... Van Gogh, Tobias Kwan and Marc Brunet are up there. Hayao Miyazaki too. Dozens more whose names escape me at the moment...
For traditional art I use mechanical pencil 0.5mm, 2H to 8B leads and various sizes of vellum bristol and standard sketch paper for line art. I then use Copic sketch markers and multiliners, Prismacolor colored pencils, Sharpie oil paint pens, and other random traditional media for colors.I prefer to use mixed media to achieve a unique style, but can go entirely digital if a project requires it.For digital art, I start with a pencil sketch, then move to Adobe Illustrator CS4 for vector, or use Paint Tool Sai and Adobe Photoshop CS4 for raster images.
